I’ve been an avid follower of Joe Symes and the Loving Kind from Liverpool for quite some time now, and they never disappoint. This dynamic three-piece band features Joe Symes (vocals/guitar/harmonica), Colin White (drums/backing vocals), and Alan Welsh (bass guitar).
Their new track, ‘Please, Please,’ from their upcoming album Portmanteau, is a chilled-out, retro tune that had me singing along in no time. The guitar licks are incredibly catchy, and the melodious tone is excellent to the ears. It’s one of those tracks that instantly hooks you and keeps you coming back for more.
Portmanteau is set to be released on September 27th, 2024, and I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album, If ‘Please, Please,’ is any indication, we’re in for a real treat.
For those in Liverpool, the band has an upcoming gig at the Zanzibar on Saturday, 5th of October. It's sure to be an amazing show, and I highly recommend catching them live if you can.
